Global Update – Modernization Center & Combat Balance

The Modernization Center has been completely reworked. Bonuses are now divided into three upgrade branches: Attack, Armor, and Shields. Instead of choosing just one bonus, upgrading now improves all bonuses within the selected branch.

The maximum upgrade level has been increased to 100, with significantly higher maximum bonus values.

New bonus types have been added: Accuracy and Evasion.
Important:

You can allocate all 100 levels into a single branch or spread them across Attack, Shields, and Armor for a combined build. The upgrade cost per level remains unchanged.

For testing and balancing purposes, the reset cost in the Modernization Center has been reduced by 100x until October 19, 2025.
Other Changes:

All upgrade bonuses have been recalculated and rebalanced by sector strength. Upgrade points per sector have been reduced.

The base shield capacity for all fleets and defenses has been doubled.

PvE enemies (Barbarians, Pirates, and Ravagers) now use a new system for generating technologies.

Fixed a combat system bug where activating additional shields also reduced fleet attack unintentionally.

Fixed a rare combat bug where rounding errors could make a weaker fleet perform better than a stronger one.

Fixed an issue where the Lunar Defense Booster was not working correctly.

Fixed a bug where moon destruction could incorrectly remove too many fields.

Reduced the effectiveness of Achilles vs. non-class Ram ships by 30%.
