Today is a big day for all players of Xterium. Exactly a year ago, on this day 21.11, we opened this universe.
 
At the time of creation, the universe was rather in the beta stage. A year has passed since then, and during this time we have released 10 major updates. We tried to do it regularly, every month. Updates were not aimed at increasing monetization, first of all we tried to make the game more interesting, modify the game mechanics already introduced and correct errors in the balance. We also did not focus on large-scale advertising, since the product is still not finished, which limits us. Now there are 600 active players in the universe, 500 of them new registered every day. This is not much, our plans to reach at least 2000 active players per day. We managed to achieve a lot, but there is still a lot of work.
 
So what is coming now?
 
We planned 3 large-scale updates.
 
The first update will rework the Interface and translate it into one scheme, making all sections equal (examples of achievement, market, contracts, tournament). Entry to all sections can be done with one click. We will try to make the game more convenient and intuitive. Add new notifications for convenience, etc.
 
 
Next, the second update, we will work on Alliance system. We plan to add two major innovations for alliances, namely the Planet of the Alliance, as well as to rework the Alliance Tournament. The tournament of alliances will leave the current tournament in itself, and by calculating the damage done in 14 days, but also gaining influence points by the players of the alliance. These points can be spent on capturing influence in certain systems in the galaxy. The alliance that captures influence in a certain system can proclaim a regime of government in this system that will give either some bonuses to the players of the alliance and their allies, or, on the contrary, some penalties to the players of the warring alliances.
 
 
The third update At the beginning, alliances can only capture systems. We will be able to better configure the system of capture and distribution of influence points, without disturbing the game balance. The Epoch system will also be added. I will try to explain in more detail.
 
At the beginning, the system of epochs will be linear and the whole universe will move from one epoch to another. Each passage of the era will open some kind of game features or give some kind of bonuses. In the future, the system of epochs is planned to be flexible. That is, several epochs can be determined simultaneously, and already from the actions of the players, the universe will move onto some specific epoch. that will determine some kind of bonuses. Thus, each universe will be unique. Development strategies will be more diverse ..

 

 

What will happen after the scheduled updates?
 
The three updates described above are not all of our plans for the development of universes. They are much bigger. But these three updates are the minimum to take the next step in the development of the project. At the moment, the universe has no logical end and task. No winners. No losers. There are only players who are tired and go, but there are beginners who replace them. Although many players are repelled by the fact that the universe is already old enough.
 
We decided to switch to the round system. This means that after these three updates a new universe will be launched, in which there will be a logical end. The universe will be calculated for a certain time, eventually passing through certain Epochs, the universe enters the final stage, where there is a struggle for who will win in this round. Then the winner and the end of the round are announced. A few days later, the universe is restarted and a new round begins. The Epoch system that was agreed upon above will make each round unique. And it will be possible to win the round in several ways (at first, maybe one, it is planned to increase to 3-4). The essence of the round system to revive the game and give it a meaning. In the new round, almost all progress will be reset completely. Exception (Antimatter and Alliance Level). All players will begin a new round in the same alliance in which they ended it before, and the level of the alliance will be maintained. But bonuses will not be saved.
 
The question is brewing, but what's the point of starting everything from scratch if nothing is saved in development. Something will still be. In addition to the achievements in the universe, global achievements will be added. Their level will not be reset with a new round. And for their implementation will be given points. Exactly these points can be spent on the development of a unique combat unit (maybe something else will be, but we will try to make exactly the fleet). The development of this unit will not be fast. And if you win in one round, it will not give you a sharp advantage in pumping this unit. You will need to accomplish achievements and get points round after round and you will be able to create your own unique fleet with unique characteristics.
 
 
 
 
In short, I tried to explain further the development of the project as we see it. Of course, something may change. I tried to describe the concept, but now I would like to hear your opinion.
