Okay, we all know that spamming espionage probes prevents fleets from launching and also blocks the jump gate.
However, I thought — at least in theory — that this was forbidden and written into the rules. That does not seem to be the case: after observing the behavior of Kpuk_ and karashy for quite a long time (Kpuk_ has always done it, Karashy only recently), I wonder — is this allowed or not?
According to the rules it is not forbidden, but using it this way would give us the ability to prevent any fleet from launching if we find it and fly to it.
The exact same principle also blocks the use of the jump gate, because if a fleet is flown at within a 5-second window — whether transport, stationing, attack, or espionage — the launch is demonstrably blocked.
Karashy says it’s a tactic (he literally told me that), and Kpuk_ has also said repeatedly that it’s a tactic. I would, however, call it an unfair bug-use, because if I use it once I catch all of a competitor’s fleets. As I mentioned before, I up until now thought this was not allowed, and I would now like a clear statement from the administration before I start using the same sneaky trick.
